INCrowd Interview, 8/23/08 - Jackie DeCamp, aka U-Nameit

I've started conversing fairly regularly with some INCrowders in hope of getting to know them better, since there are now such a great whacking ton of us. I found Jackie DeCamp, and I hope this helps you get to know her better too:

Where were you born & raised?
I was born in Valparaiso and raised in Chesterton.

Where are you now & what led you there?
I have been many different places including Evansville, Indianapolis and now living in North Vernon, IN. I ended up here with my husband but am now divorced raising my 10 year old daughter, Sarah.

What types of creations do you sell in for your Etsy shop?
I do embroidery, quilting but most of my sales come from Personalized printing like cups, shirts, pet items and business items.

What's your educational background, as it relates to your work?
My educational background includes graduating from high school and going on to cosmetology to be a hairdresser.

How'd you get started creating?
I didn't want to do that any more and have always love crafts. How many people can say that they love what they do?

What's your muse, or what turns that little creative light inside you on?
I love it when people get my items that may have their picture or logo on it and they absolutely love it. It is a very cool thing to see your own creation or picture on a shirt, mug or mouse pad!

Do you belong to any Street Teams? If so, which ones and why?
I belong to the INCROWDTEAM because I want to show people that Indiana crafters are among the best.

What's your favorite thing about selling on Etsy?
My favorite thing about selling on Etsy is all the really cool friends that I have made along the way.

Recommend your five favorite shops on Etsy.
My five favorite Etsy shops... OOOOh if I couldn't possibly limit it to only five....
I have purchased from several and have loved everything that I have purchased. You can always visit my store and see who I purchase from and mark as favorites. :)
