INCrowd Interview, 10/07/2007 - Barb, borderlinebarbie

I'd like to introduce you all to BorderlineBarbie , aka Barb. Barb grew up in Kokomo, IN and moved to Lafayette/West Lafayette to attend Purdue University. She is currently living in Lafayette and teaching at both Purdue University and Ivy Tech.

She originally started out in Art Education, but during her last year of college she took photography and metals courses and absolutely loved them both. She has an M.A. in Photography and Related Media and also concentrated on Metalsmithing in college. She does a little bit of everything though...bookmaking, photo, jewelry and metals, video, installation.

Barb adds the following to her impressive resume! " I was just in Metalsmith Exhibition in Print in August. (pg 42!) Because of that, I will be showing the work included in that magazine in SOFA Chicago and at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Oregon. I am also involved in PAJAMA (Purdue Art Jewelry and Metals Assoc) at Purdue. We hold jewelry sales every semester to raise money to attend SNAG conferences and bring in guest speakers. It is so fun to do!"

Check out her shop and see all the wonderful things she has to offer!
